I am 65 years old, and stated work as an apprentice Plant Mechanic with the NSW Government Railways at age 15. I have therefore been in the industry for 50 years. I worked as a mechanic for approximately 20 years, followed by 20 years as an operator of earthmoving, load shifting ans aerial access equipment. During which I had overlap as a trainer since 2001 to the present. I have been a Service Manager with WesTrac the Caterpillar distributors, and an EWP/Aerial Access technician with Monitor Industries, both at Tamworth NSW. I am currently a High Risk Trainer / Assessor with accreditation in NSW and VIC in the classes of C2 and C6 crane, Dogging, Forklift and Work Platform over 11m. I also hold Yellow Card # YC 813392 expiry 01/05/2023, and Gold Card # GC906160 expiry 05/02/2024. I also hold qualifications in First Aid, the highest level of Working at Heights and Work and Rescue from Confined Spaces. I am currently self employed as a High Risk Trainer/Assessor by my own company, Compliance Training A.B.N. 21 801 514 548, through which I sub-contract to various R.T.O's in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. Two of which ( Go Workplace Training and Connections Group) are member companies of EWPA I live at Tamworth in North-West NSW, and would like to be able to provide Yellow and Gold Card services to clients in the Upper Hunter Valley, North-West, New England, Central and Far West areas of NSW, and also into South-East and South-West Queensland. I have scanned the EWPA website and find so many areas that currently do not have reasonable access to accredited training. I have purchased a motorhome and intend to take my services on extended roadtrips through rural and remote areas. I am part indigenous, and would like to extend the facility of training and accreditation to communities that have been denied this in the past due to lack of trainers within viable reach of remote towns and communities.
