MEWP Supervisor Training Course

In response to recent Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) incidents, the Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA) is actively promoting the industry first MEWP Supervisor Training Course.

These recent incidents have highlighted the importance of MEWP operators being familiar with the machine’s controls. As well as ensuring those on the ground are trained in how to bring the machine down in the event of an emergency.

The EWPA Yellow Card training program covers emergency lowering, and the EWPA now also offers a more comprehensive, dedicated Supervisor course.

This Supervisor course has been designed specifically for those who are currently (or working towards) a Safety Officer / Site Manager role, where they are responsible for the planning, supervising, or managing the safe use of Elevating Work Platforms. This course covers machine selection, planning, prevention of incidents, putting the right procedures in place and much more, all aimed at keeping workers safe.

Ensuring that your site Supervisors complete this course you are proactively managing site hazards and risks and can be seen to be making reasonable and practical efforts to ensure the safety of staff and site visitors.
